Domestic/Sexual Abuse Resources

It is the policy of the Kennebunkport Police Department to break the cycle of domestic abuse by preventing future incidents or reducing the frequency and/or seriousness of such incidents. We will also try to protect victims of domestic abuse and provide them with support.

Victims of domestic or sexual violence:

• Have a right to be safe.

• Have the right to medical assistance.

• Have the right to apply for a Protection from Abuse Order.

• Have the right to be notified of court proceeding related to your case.

• Have the right to bring an advocate to all court proceedings.
